MEMBERSHIP TYPES and REQUIREMENTS
Application to join
Regular Members
In Good Standing with National Association
In Good Standing with New Orleans Chapter
Residing and/or Stationed in Eighth Coast Guard District
Charter Members
Listed on the Original Charter of the Chapter.
Senior Members
Over 65 years of age
Meets the requirements of a Regular Member
Associate Members
Retired Warrant Officer or former Warrant Officer who hold
Warrant or Commissioned status on the retired list.
Not eligible to be a Regular Member
Honorary Members
Unanimously voted by membership at any regular meeting
Not available for those eligible for regular or associate
membership
Distinguished Chapter Members
Appointed by at least 75 percent vote of the membership at any
regular meeting.
Eligible for membership as a Regular, Charter or Senior Member
Distinguished themselves through untiring efforts and devotion
to the precepts stated in the Preamble to the Constitution of this Club and
there by have made significant contributions to the goals of the Club.
Distinguished Members
Members that have distinguished themselves through untiring
efforts and devotion to the precepts stated in the Preamble to the
Constitution of the Association.
Have made significant contributions to the goals of the
Association.
Nominations:
May be made by any regular member of the Association.
Must be in writing to the President of the Association.
Must be received by the President of the Association no later
than 1 February to be considered for that calendar year.
